100 VANDAM

Terrain collaborated with COOKFOX on the design of 100 Vandam, a luxury private residential tower located in Hudson Square, NYC. The modern, 25-floor residential tower rises from the facade of a 19th-century brick masonry warehouse. Garden spaces have been integrated throughout the building’s 25 floors as an assortment of 10 private planted terraces and 80 custom loggias which can be seen framed from within each respective unit from the floor to ceiling windows.

Within the larger terraces, special features include a stone reflecting fountain and plant bed, kitchen, timber daybed, steel pergolas, custom concrete and metal planters, and custom stone paver textures.

The base of the concrete and glass tower is set in a red brick facade, preserved from the original architecture, and from which several private terraces allow moments of quiet respite or intimate social gathering while affording views out to the city streets or skyline beyond.
